Set it up for someone else

Choose their text size and a few games, then send them one link. It takes you two minutes, and when they open it everything is already set. Neither of you needs to install anything or make an account.

1 Text size

How big should the words and numbers be?

2 Easier to see

Turn on either one, both or neither.

3 Pick their games

Choose up to six. Solitaire, Word Search and Daily Sudoku are a good start if you are not sure. If you pick none, they get those three.

No games picked yet

How it works

  1. Choose above. Set the text size, turn on high contrast or a dark background if that helps, and tick the games you know they will enjoy.
  2. Send the link. Copy it into a text message, an email or a chat, whichever they already read. It is an ordinary web link.
  3. They tap it once. The page opens with the text already the right size and their games waiting. There is no download, password or account.

A few things worth knowing

Your choices are saved on their device the moment they open the link, so the settings are still there next time, even if they arrive through a bookmark or a search. Nothing is stored on my server, and neither of you has to sign up for anything.

Changed your mind? Come back here, build a new link, and send it again. The new one replaces the old settings. They can also change the text size themselves at any time using the Text size button in the corner of every page.

If a screen is not the right answer today, there are also puzzles you can print for them, and there is a large print calendar for the kitchen wall on Large Print Maker, my other free site. If they play on a tablet, the guide to playing games on an iPad covers the few settings that matter most.
