Why I can promise this
Sites built around advertising revenue need you to see as many ads as possible. That is why pop-ups, autoplay videos and sign-up walls keep coming back, however much people dislike them. I built this site the other way round: the game comes first, and everything else stays out of its way. If a small ad ever helps pay for the site, it sits at the edge of the page and is labelled as an ad, and every promise above still holds.
To help keep this promise without intrusive ads, players and families who wish to support this work can also support the site on Ko-fi to help cover our monthly hosting costs.
Where the promises stop
A few of these need a footnote, because a promise with a hidden exception is not worth much. Three arcade games move on their own: Maze Chase, Falling Blocks and Snake. They are the games people ask for by name, so they are here, but they run at their own pace and they do end. Every puzzle and card game on the site waits for you indefinitely.
The site does count visits. It uses Google Analytics to see which pages and games get used, and that sets a cookie everywhere except the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, where it sets none. It records things like the page, your approximate location and which buttons were pressed, and it never receives your name, your email address or your answers. The privacy policy lists exactly what is recorded and how to switch it off.
The Hint that explains its reasoning, and unlimited Undo, are in the games I built. Eleven games here are open-source ones written by other people. I host them so you do not have to hunt for them, and they come as their authors made them, with whatever help they chose to include. Every game page says which is which.
If I break one
If you find a page that breaks one of these promises, tell me and I will fix it: hello@freegamesforseniors.com. The games are here: all of the free games, the daily puzzle, or a ready-made link you can set up for someone else.
